Synth Vox

Not a traditional vocoder...
Basically this rack uses two parallel effect chains to create carrier and modulator input signals from a single monophonic input (a voice for example). This is achieved by using a couple pitch tracking oscillators (mda tracker vst) to track a monophonic audio input, and a vocoder (mda talkbox vst) to encode the the carrier and modulator signals. Note that this rack doesn't require any MIDI input or additional audio routing of any kind.
I use this rack to add harmonies and unique texture to vocal tracks to great effect. I hope you enjoy it.

Broken Filter

This rack developed out of an experiment with the new sidechaining features in Live 7. It uses the "crackle" from a vinyl distortion unit as the key input sidechained to an autofilter's envleope. The rack has been macro mapped so as to allow for a wide variety of sounds, from slight warrbley frequency modulation to outright chaos.

Requires Live 7
